About

A narrow, well-trodden forest path winding gently through tall, ancient trees, their textured bark rich with detail. Fallen leaves in muted golds and browns softly carpet the ground. In the distance, a subtle opening in the canopy allows a beam of warm sunlight to pour down, illuminating a small, moss-covered stone at the path’s bend. Photographic realism with a low-angle perspective places the viewer at path level, drawing the eye forward toward the light. The background fades into soft bokeh greenery, suggesting mystery and depth. The mood is contemplative and hopeful, a visual metaphor for walking by faith and discovering that God’s way is not folly but quiet wisdom.

About Not Folly

My mission is to explore the realities we face as sinners and the Truth of God’s promises for His believers versus the lies of the enemy. I seek to do this not from a theological standpoint (that is NOT my wheelhouse) but from a real and raw human perspective.

I also want to encourage others to share the Word of God through small acts and encounters during their daily lives. In a world that can feel dark, be the light! SPREAD JOY!

About the Author

My name is Rachel. I am a mom, homesteader, U.S. Navy veteran, aspiring author, twice-divorced woman, but most importantly, a child of God.

I am far from perfect.

I want to encourage believers (and non-believers) in the TRUTH of the scripture, from a humble place free from judgment. I would love for you to join me on this journey.
